Learning the Place and Value of Every Digit

Students chose and partner and were given dice to create numbers. The objective was to create a number that was larger than their partners. Students had to strategically place numbers to try and beat their partner. Students were able to work with the values of a given digit in a given place.

We learned how to do the millions. We learned that  a digit can be different if you put it in a different place. Numbers using the same digits  --Brittany

I learned that if I rolled a large digit I should put it in the highest place value to create a bigger number than my partner ---Anaiya
